I was pretty amped (excited) to have graciously attended this auspicious event a week and a half ago to get some much needed break from the busyness of University life (which seems to have forcibly taken over my life and shows no sign of letting go right now).

The Great Hall was magically transformed into a Grecian themed wonderland using draping and curtains to create a Grecian effect and candelabras for an illuminating effect. The irony here is that the Great Hall is where I actually write most of my tests and exams. 

Honestly, I wasn't crazy about the three course meal served (sssh that will be our little secret) but it all boils down to a matter of personal taste though. All guests received a bottle of wine each which was totally unexpected.

In line with Greek tradition, the night ended off with lots of plate smashing and camaraderie which was such an amazing opportunity I experience for the first time. I am glad that I opted to attended this occasion and I eagerly look forward to next year's ball.
